Loch fishing at Piperdam

The Fishery.

Prime fly-fishing for brown and rainbow trout on 40 acres of Loch and 4 acre Bank Pond. Boats are available for hire by the day or evening from the harbour point, while the children's bait pond makes for a safe introduction to the pleasures of fishing.

Brown trout from 15th March until 6th October. Rainbow trout open all year round.

Facilities. Electric outboard hire £7.00 per session Tackle hire £8.00 per session Fly fishing tuition on request £15.00 per hour per person (booking required)

Permit costs & bookings.

2 fishermen at PiperDamBank sessions - 7 hours 6 fish limit - £18.00
Bank sessions - 4 hours 4 fish limit - £14.00

Children's bait pond £6.00 per 2 hours
(first fish free, £2 per lb thereafter)

Boat Sessions :
Day 9am - 4pm
Evening 5pm - dusk
Boat 2/3 rods (12 fish limit) - Mon - Fri £34.00 day or evening
Sat - Sun £38.00 day or evening

Boat 1 rod (6 fish limit)
Mon - Fri £17.00 day or evening
Sat - Sun £19.00 day or evening

How to get Here.

DIRECTIONS from Perth
On A90 follow signs to Dundee/Aberdeen. On arriving at Dundee go straight over two roundabouts, then take next slip road to left heading towards Coupar Angus (A923) and Camperdown Park. Follow road to Coupar Angus through small village of Birkhill, at end of village turn left at fork in road. Piperdam is 3 miles on left from here.
